My Review

Ella is about to get married to Dan and map out her future when she started to have some health scare and the diagnosis was quite severe. She started to reconsider her decision to marry Dan and her future. Dan on the other hand, try his best to show to her the diagnosis will not change things for them. But it makes Ella feel worst instead of comforting her.
This book is part of The Cornish Midwife series and each book feature a story of different midwife. In this installation, it is Ella’s story and it was quite an emotional one at different level where it tells the story about facing a life changing diagnosis and about disabilities, living with them and in the community. Overall, it is an emotional read to me.

My Review

Pia forgo her future to take care of her parent. Now that they are no longer around and her family home is sold, she need to find a job and a home for herself. She found her answer when she saw a job advert from Primrose Hall, recently refurbished by the new owner and now the owner is looking for a personal assistant. It’s a live in position and pay is great but there is an issue. The owner is Jackson whom broke her heart after a perfect summer long ago and he left town without a word. With Bertie, her four legged companion, Pia settled well in Primrose Hall with Jackson nearby. The story then follows Pia as she adjusts to living at Primrose Hall. With Jackson’s presence nearby, it evoke their long ago romance.

This is a story of 2nd chance in love and I Love the storyline very much; with the easy flow and engaging story. Jackson come across as handsome, caring, sensitive and protective while Pia is a lovely character with her confident and big heart. The interaction between them have a slow burn vibe to it. Overall, it is a heartwarming read to me.

So here she is, visiting her bestie on picturesque Crescent Island—with sun-warmed beaches, the briny smell of the ocean, and rumors of a secret astrologer-matchmaker who guarantees love. Of course, Allie doesn’t believe in any of that stuff. If anything, she’ll prove it’s a total scam.

Ryan Parker believes in love—just not right now. He’s focused on expanding his family’s barbeque business, finding investors, and keeping his too-big Great Dane puppy from jumping on everyone, including his sister’s pretty, whiskey-eyed best friend. Besides, falling for a tourist is definitely not in his astrological forecast.

Allie is doing everything she can to resist the charm of the town and its beauty, not to mention her attraction to Ryan. But there’s a lot more happening on Crescent Island than anyone knows…and when her story goes to print, this tiny, close-knit town might never be the same.

My Review

Allie is a travel editor and stay truthful with her story. However this doesn’t go down well with her bosses. Now, she need to write a story that is good enough to save her job. So she decided to visit her best friend Sofia at Crescent Island. She find herself attracted to the quiet small town and its community. It is a romcom story about 2 individual meets and fell in love when they least expected it to be. Allie is a pessimistic person who only think of negative perspectives and i love to see how this change in Allie as the story developed. Their chemistry were there from the time they meet and it grow as the story develop. Overall it is a feel good and delightful read to me.

To break out of a 24-hour time loop, all Jack needs is for Gemma to fall in love with him in a single day. All Gemma needs is to remember him first . . .

Gemma Peters is doing fine. She’s making a name for herself in the L.A. music biz as a radio producer. She’s got a ride-or-die best friend in Lila, and she gets to come home to Rex, her loving Labrador, every night. But ever since her rock star ex-boyfriend used her to get a record deal from her rock legend dad, she’s made a “no musicians” rule when it comes to dating that’s becoming more like a “no dating” rule, period.

So, when Gemma crashes (literally) into Jack one Thursday morning, at first she feels like fate might finally be doing her a favor. After all this guy is cute and, wait, is she imagining it, or is he staring a little too deeply into her eyes? And how does he know her name? Even harder to explain is the funny feeling of déjà vu she gets every time she looks at him. It’s not at all like Gemma to kiss a man and forget him completely, so then how can she explain the dreamlike memory of his lips on hers?

The truth is this is no ordinary Thursday. Not for them. In fact, they’ve lived this day over and over for months. And while Gemma has been totally oblivious to the time loop, Jack has been agonizingly aware of every single iteration. Luckily, Jack has a theory to bring his own personal Groundhog Day to an end. And it’s simple. Before the day is over, he just has to get Gemma to fall in love with him.

Book Review – Things I Wrote About By Kelsey Humphreys

Sadie Canton writes America’s favorite romance novels. She’s created one hit happy ending after another, all while avoiding her own painful cliffhanger.

But she can’t avoid him anymore.

Her sister’s wedding is forcing her to face her demons, her secrets and most of all her best friend turned bitter enemy, Shep Riggs.

The boy she knew is gone and the man before her is angry, arrogant, competitive, and hot as the Caribbean sun bearing down on them. Sadie planned for this. It’s time to be the hero of her own story, face her past and close that chapter of her life for good.

She’s ready for her villain and his jabs, his smirk, even his eightpack.

What she’s not ready for is Shep’s side of the story, and he’s determined to tell it — rough, unedited, and nowhere near The End.

Published Date: 28 February 2023

My Review

Sadie loves Shepp from the time she met him and at one point, they believed they were soulmates. Now, though both of them have their own separate life, they are sworn enemies. They are forced to spend time together on an island for the wedding of his best friend and her sister and all emotions in them threatening to burst out.

This story is a 2nd chance romance and friends to enemy and lover . The story plot moves through 16 years from how they met as teenagers, through college and into adulthood. Love totally the perspectives from these different timeline. The author has written a very touching piece of their love and loss. Overall it is a heartwarming read to me.
