Skylar moves to Nashville for a fresh start and immediately clashes with the serious and grumpy Jared. Both characters have tragic backstories, with Jared especially haunted by his difficult childhood, making him wary of relying on others or pursuing a relationship with Skylar, who frequently teases him.
