The Full Nest By Fiona Gibson

One family home. Three generations. What could possibly go wrong?

Carly loves her family. She really does. It’s just that now her three children are grown up, she thought it was her time.

Everyone talks about the empty nest and how difficult that can be, but Carly and her husband, Frank, have often fantasised about it – meals without arguments, conversation without shouting over the sound of the Xbox, holidays planned around the culture not the kids’ club.

But Carly’s nest is far from empty. Her elderly dad needs more support and is moving in ‘temporarily’. On top of which, Carly’s son, Eddie, is far too comfortable at home – why go out and get a job, when your parents keep you fed and your clothes laundered? And just when Carly is starting to pull her hair out, Eddie drops a bombshell that changes everything.

Fallen Hearts By Cissy Mecca

Rule one of the Bachelor Pact is simple: Never fall in love.

Temporarily returning home to Cedar Falls comes with mixed emotions. But having to work alongside the distractingly beautiful Pia, hired by my father before his unexpected death to run and restore my family’s inn, is a test I could do without. I don’t need help, especially from a stranger whose delectable body is inviting me to forget the most important rule of the Bachelor Pact.

I learned early on to avoid attachments, and Pia is completely off-limits. I’m technically her boss. Working together to renovate the crumbling inn, I try to shield my heart and ignore my body’s traitorous responses. But Pia’s laughter fills the dusty halls, melting my defences and testing my iron-clad resolve. As each day passes, the thought of returning to my old life as a cop in the city and leaving Pia becomes more and more difficult. Now, with my future and an age-old promise on the line, I’m left wondering if I should finally crack open the door to love I sealed so long ago.

Review Card & Book Review – Fall Into Temptation By Lucy Score

Beckett Pierce is the most eligible bachelor in the nosiest small town in upstate New York. But after his last girlfriend handcuffed herself to his porch and set his welcome mat on fire, he’s not looking for any more romance.

Especially if it lands right in his own backyard. And has miles of red hair.

Gianna Decker has her hands full—no, overflowing—with problems. With two kids, a useless ex, and a brand new yoga studio, the last thing on her mind is finding a man who’ll demand more of her time.

Fantasizing about her hot, broody landlord? Mistake. Lusting after the sexy mayor of her new town? Terrible idea. Getting naked with the “favorite” son of her father’s new lady friend? N-O. Getting involved with Beckett has disaster written all over it.

Those stolen kisses were accidental. A few moments of strings-free, sizzling passion couldn’t possibly cause any trouble. At least, not until tempers flare when their families complicate things and the interfering citizens of Blue Moon step in with their special brand of chaos.

About The Author

My Review

This is the second book in Lucy Score’s Blue Moon romance series, newly rebranded and published by Bloom Books. The story centers on Beckett Pierce, the logical and level-headed Pierce brother from the first book, “No More Secrets,” as he embarks on a romantic journey with his new tenant, single mom Gianna. While the fresh cover design and the republishing of Lucy Score’s work are exciting, this installment fell short of expectations. Despite Beckett being a favorite side character in the previous book, his quickness to judge and his irrational anger toward Gianna felt out of character, making this aspect of the story feel forced and unnecessary. Overall, the book didn’t fully deliver on the promise of Beckett’s character from the first novel.
