Kylee returns to her hometown after her sister Mia and her husband die in an accident, leaving her as the guardian of their twins. Though she only plans to stay through Christmas, she meets Evan, the twins’ godfather, who feels guilty for not being able to save Mia and her husband. As Kylee and Evan care for the children, romantic feelings develop, but Kylee plans to return to New York while Evan wants to stay in their small town.

The story is a heartwarming Christmas romance, focusing on family, healing, and the bond between Kylee, Evan, and the children.
