Review Card & Book Review- A New Arrival At Samphire Bay By Sasha Morgan

The path to true love never did run smooth…

Famous actor-turned-director Felix Paschal – real name Adam Sinclair – has bought Samphire Bay’s iconic Art Deco house, not only for the privacy it grants him, but also as the location for the new historical drama he is directing. But the sprawling house desperately needs a housekeeper.

Luckily for Adam, local musician Emma desperately needs money, as she and her band try to make it big. Being a housekeeper proves to be both fulfilling and entertaining, especially when Adam’s show starts filming and sparks fly between the two.

But not everyone is happy with the new resident – from nasty texts and disturbing letters to fake news leaked to the press, both Adam and Emma will have to work hard to protect their home.

About The Author

My Review

This is a delightful blend of romance, mystery, and small-town charm, set against the atmospheric backdrop of an English coastal village. When former actor and now director Adam Sinclair (known to the world as Felix Paschal) arrives in Samphire Bay to renovate an iconic Art Deco home and film a period drama, he’s seeking privacy and a fresh start. Enter Emma, a talented local musician in need of money, who takes on the role of housekeeper and quickly finds her life entwined with Adam’s in more ways than one.

Their chemistry is immediate and believable, with sparks flying amid the clashing worlds of celebrity and ordinary life. As the film production ramps up, so does the tension—not just romantic, but from outside forces, too. Mysterious messages, media leaks, and threats to their peaceful haven add a compelling layer of intrigue that keeps the story moving.

Morgan balances romance with suspense beautifully, while capturing the spirit of a close-knit community. Emma and Adam are both likable, well-developed characters, and their slow-burn relationship is easy to root for.

Single Dad Dilemma By Karla Sorensen

You’d think it was the perfect setup: living next door to the grumpy single dad who needs my help with his troublemaking kids—just until football season is over. Swoony stuff, right?

You know who’s not swooning? Me.

I’m as grumpy as he is, and I’m fairly certain that for NFL Coach Barrett King, it was hate at first sight. It’s nothing I’ll lose sleep over because 1) the feeling is mutual, and 2) I’m not a people person. Just me and my dog, Larry, moving around when the mood strikes, is what I prefer.

Except I start getting attached. First to the kids. Then to their father. I don’t know why. He’s overbearing. His attempts at flirting are just growls and glares. But if I ever see that man smile…well, I might tear all his clothes off.

I don’t do forever. And Barrett—serious, thoughtful, sexier than he has any right to be—doesn’t do short term. We’re headed straight for disaster.

But if we’re willing to take a risk, maybe this story won’t end in heartbreak. Maybe what started as the perfect setup for two imperfect people just might end in love.

About The Author

My Review

Invitation to His Billion-Dollar Ball is a sweet, modern fairytale with a charming blend of romance, nostalgia, and emotional depth. Set against the enchanting backdrop of Whitmore Castle, Cara Colter delivers a heartwarming enemies-to-lovers story that feels both magical and grounded.

Layne, a strong and determined heroine, is committed to restoring the estate of her childhood dreams into a luxury guest house. But her plans are threatened when billionaire Jesse Whitmore returns with intentions of demolishing the castle. Their clash sets the stage for a tender, slow-building romance, full of witty tension, meaningful glances, and emotional vulnerability.

What makes this story shine is the emotional undercurrent—Jesse’s connection to the castle runs deeper than Layne realizes, and as layers of his past are revealed, the story becomes more than just a battle over bricks and mortar. It’s about healing, finding purpose, and rediscovering love in the most unexpected places.

Colter’s writing is warm and evocative, with just the right amount of whimsy. The ball at the end is the perfect fairy-tale touch, leaving readers with a satisfied sigh.
