This was such a fun, addictive hockey romance that balances slow-burn tension, emotional depth, and delicious forbidden-romance energy. The sports setting feels lively and immersive, but what truly stands out is Finley’s journey as the first female head coach in professional men’s hockey. Watching her handle scrutiny, pressure, and responsibility while remaining confident and capable added meaningful depth beyond the romance.

Beckett Kane is pure cinnamon-roll perfection beneath his confident athlete exterior. His patience, support, and unwavering respect for Finley made every interaction swoony and heartfelt. The slow burn works beautifully because the stakes are clear from the start, so every look, conversation, and quiet moment carries restraint and longing.

The banter, forced-proximity moments, and PR campaign scenes were highlights, giving their relationship time to develop naturally. I also loved the maturity of the characters, which grounded the romance emotionally.
