Review Card & Book Review – Redemption Road By Katie Ashley

Annabel

Born into a powerful political family, I’ve spent my life being sheltered by wealth and privilege. In an effort to fly free of my gilded cage, I embrace a relationship with a man my family would never accept–a biker bad boy from a notorious MC club. But my brief taste of freedom results in a betrayal that lands me trafficked into a hell on earth I never could have imagined.

Rev

Born and bred into the Hells Raiders MC, I’ve spent my life devoted to the club. With the President patch now stitched on my cut, I would give my life for my brothers. But when I become the unexpected savior of a rival club’s captive, I put everyone at risk with my personal mission to shelter Annabel from the madman who hunts her and the nightmares that torment her.

Despite being from two different worlds, we bond through our shared trauma. But as Annabel begins to heal, the glaring differences between our worlds become more evident. Can she ever accept the life I lead, or will I be forced to choose between the only life I’ve ever known and the woman I was never supposed to love?

About The Author

My Review

This book is about a young woman rebuilding her life after trauma and the motorcycle club president who becomes her protector, safe haven, and slow-burning love.

This is definitely a slow-building romance that tackles heavy and emotional subject matter. Annabel’s kidnapping and abuse shape the entire story, and the healing journey that follows is handled with care and sensitivity. The romance never feels rushed; instead, the connection between Annabel and Rev grows from safety, trust, and emotional intimacy before anything physical develops, which makes their bond feel believable and meaningful.

Rev was a standout hero for me. While he fits the tough, protective motorcycle club president archetype, he’s also gentle, patient, and deeply compassionate. His tenderness toward Annabel while she heals creates a strong emotional core that balances the darker elements of the story. Watching him prioritize her comfort and recovery made the romance especially swoony and heartfelt.

The suspense elements build steadily toward a tense finale that keeps you rooting for their happy ending. If you enjoy emotional motorcycle club romances with strong found-family vibes, this is a compelling and heartfelt read.
